Hi beauties!

I spent New Years Eve in Vegas with good friends, amazing music, fabulous food and oodles of cocktails.

A lot of you guys saw the pics on Instagram, Twitter & Facebook and wanted to know what products made me glow.

After all, when else do you get to wear a short, gold-sequined dress than in Vegas?!?!

Beauty Beat on The Moll Anderson Show: Bridal Beauty 6/29/13

Every week, I stop by the “Moll house” on The Moll Anderson Show to bring Moll my Beauty Beat. On BeautyFrosting this week, I am sharing with y’all my Beauty Beat: Bridal Beauty. Wedding expert and Lifestylist, Moll, and I discuss wedding makeup…and a whoooole lot more!

My main tip for brides? It’s all about feeling your beautiful best and smiling for the camera. Pictures are lasting so don’t be afraid to step it up a bit but, pleeeease, still look like yourself. Remember, you wanna look like you on the best day of your life – your “beautiful best”!

And as a Dallas wedding photographer’s daughter and seeing thousands of wedding here’s the one thing I learned: The things that don’t go according to plan – sometimes make the best memories. So leave room for those. Perfection doesn’t equal perfect memories. As I like to say, “Do your best, leave the rest!”

Makeup Monday: Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer

I love dewy skin. Why? Because nothing says young and lively more than a glowing, gorgeous complexion.
If you’re on the dry side like me, you try virtually anything and everything to get your skin to glow like it did when you were 20. Thanks to Josie Maran’s Argan Illuminizer, your skin can glow and glow and your age will not be for anyone to know.

My most common question I get is “how do you get that glow in photos?”

 

 

Well, here it is. Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer is my not-so-secret weapon to look glowing and youthful in photos and it leaves me looking candlelit when there’s not a candle to be found. So natural looking, it’s as at home in a candlelit room as it is on a bright, sunny day. This ultra-light, golden skin brightener with a bit of bronze lights me up and, thus, helps me light up a room.

My preferred method so as not to use, or waste, too much is to unscrew the pump out of the jar and dot a small amount on the top of my hand. Warm it up between my index fingers and press on to the tops of my cheekbones as well as right above the bow of my lip. I also love using on my eyelids under eyeshadow for a glistening, glowing, gorgeous eye! And you can’t beat the subtle sheen it gives to your décolletage and legs when mixed with your favorite moisturizer.

Due to the power it packs into a pearl-sized amount, it will last you months and months! So you’ll not only look like a college kid, you’ll spend like one too!

Whatcha’ Wearin’ Wednesday? The Voice of Meagan H.

This is a little different WWW today.

I know what our WWW girl is wearing because, well, I (BF) picked out the look myself!

Here are the ‘tails:

My neighbor-friend, Sue, told me about her lovely friend, Meagan H., visiting Los Angeles from Fort Scott, Kansas. What brought Meagan all the way out to Hollywood?
Why, the chance for stardom, of course!
See, 18-year-old, high school senior, Meagan H. made the LA audition round on The Voice on NBC. Yaya!!!!

So, what could be better before a big audition than a little primping and pumping up by yours truly.

She, and her lovely mom, came over to the BeautyFrosting kitchen and here’s what we happened.

BF: “Hi Meagan! Nice to meet you! Are you nervous?”

Meagan: “Not really. I’m more excited!”

BF: “Well, that’s the right spirit! We’re gonna make you feel and look your beautiful best!”

BF (noticing Meagan’s gorgeous, ocean-blue eyes): “Meagan, what I wouldn’t give to have that eye color! We need to lighten up that dark eyeliner a bit. Are you okay with that?”

 Meagan: “I guess. It’s just always what I wear. I like dark.”

BF: “Gotcha. We’ll keep it on the darker side but maybe find a more flattering shade that brings out your eyes rather than hiding that gorgeous blue!”
