Listen, it’s hard to find the right shower buddy.

As a girl who gets regular keratin treatments, it’s sometimes hard to find a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner that deep cleanses and conditions without stripping.

Fact about me you didn’t know? I get realllllly excited about a good cleanser! Especially good oil cleansers that deeply cleanse without stripping the skin of vital oils and moisture. Add in some anti aging, antioxidant-rich ingredients and I’m in hog heaven. Well, bath heaven, but I digress.

That’s why Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel ($28) just tickles me pink. (See, because it ALSO comes in a pink bottle – wink, wink).

This antioxidant-packed cleansing oil-gel removes those pesky impurities and makeup remnants while protecting the skin’s moisture barrier. And the best part? We’re left with smoother, softer, baby-soft skin.

Ideal for all skin types, the tsubaki (camellia oil) botanical blend firms, hydrates and protects against free radical damage and increases collagen while the Wakame (Japanese Sea Kelp) prevents fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness by replenishing protein. In-My-Tub-Tuesday: Being Sexy Shampoo & Conditioner makes me feel SEXXXXY

I have been feeling a bit, um, sexier lately. Why, you ask? Oh, it’s lots of things – the changing of the planets, the solar eclipse, the fact that I’m really starting to embrace being a woman and the boudoir shoot I shot on Sunday (stay tuned for more of that). But there’s also a product line that I’ve fallen in love with all over again. And it makes me feel sensual and seductive.

Back in February, I used it and fell in love. And so did one of my Instagram followers & friend, @PurpleLynn: “@beautyfrosting Your hair is so shiny it’s RIDICULOUS!”.

Well, well, well. So, listen, I had a date the other night and no time for a quick trip to the day spa – I mean really – who does these days?

There are certain scents that just feel like a vacation. The kind of scent that carries you far, far away from the stressful day you’re having – even if just for a moment. I live for these products.

My In-My-Tub-Tuesday pick today, Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo ($13.50), is one of these said products.

Far from just a pretty scent, this super-cleaning shampoo adds body to my fine hair while deep cleaning my hair from root to tip. You may have noticed that I mentioned the word “cleaning” TWICE in that last sentence. That’s because this shampoo really gets the job done – and all without stripping the hair of the oils we need – and want – for shine and smoothness.

In-My-Tub-Tuesday: Bath & Body Works Pure Paradise Collection

With Flossie about to hit Hawaii and summer’s end in sight, I’m wanting any indication possible that summer can last just a little bit longer.

So what bathtime delights am I turning to in this tropical storm time?
Why, the Pure Paradise Bath & Body Works collection, of course!

Last night, I took a long, hot bath soaking in the Pure Paradise shower gel ($11). It foamed up a bit and made my bathroom smell like a tropical vacation meets my old days at camp. I closed my eyes and was able to smell both the memories of my yesterday and the future memories of my tomorrow.

What do I mean by that? Simple. It reminds me of a tropical vacation due to its summer seduction quality that it seems to have all bottled up while reminding me of my times at summer camp – filled with innocence, first love and the warm night breeze.

Of course, that might all be from the sumptuous star fruit, juicy guava or dewy cassis. Or it could be from the luscious gardenia, frangipani or water lily. But the white musk, blond woods and sunkissed coconut certainly don’t harsh my tropical bathtime buzz!

And when it came time to hydrate, I wanted the scent – and nostalgic feeling – to continue. So to town I went with the Pure Paradise Fragrance Mist ($14) and Pure Paradise Body Lotion ($11).

I went to sleep in a seductive slumber dreaming of my old pre-teen boyfriends from camp and my future boyfriends on the beach.
Now, that’s what I call a good evening, ladies!

Last week, I tried something unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. And I must say I am intrigued which is why I MUST share it with you on In-My-Tub-Tuesday, today!

So what is this intriguing beauty product sitting in my bathtub? A revolution in exfoliation called Exfolimate.

Exfolimate is a hand-held exfoliation tool, with innovative micro grooves and a smooth edge technology that glides along your skin to gently and precisely exfoliate. Think of it as a skin squeegee. Yes, really!
You use Exfolimate in the tub or shower (or at the sink, I suppose) when your skin is damp and your skin the most supple. So how does it work? Well, here’s where it’s gonna sound, um, weird. There is almost a blade-like, dull edge that does its job to eradicate excess oil, dirt and dead skin from your face and body. Each Exfolimate comes with one tool for the face and one larger tool for the body so you’re covered there.

It’s so easy to use, you’re gonna wonder if you’re using it correctly. You are. It’s super simple.
So my results? I didn’t see any evident dirt or oil come off my face but keep in mind that I have been religious with my skin-cleaning routine since I was 11 and I am super dry. But when I used the Body Exfolimate on my upper back, well, let’s just say I saw some instant results! My skin was left feeling deeply cleansed.

A perfect alternative to grainy scrubs that can oftentimes cause irritation, Exfolimate works to clean pores, tone and exfoliate all in one step. And it leaves you with a natural, glowing radiance with not a bit of ruddiness in sight! Plus, my skin felt smoother after each use.
