Striiike Strikes Again With Their Fierce Feathered Brows

Fresh from the feathered brow mecca in Beverly Hills…STRIIIKE, indeed.

Lit from within, lit from without and the best darn brows to boot, thanks to Tyler at Striiike.

I think by now we all know that brows are the major make-or-break facial feature, but, thanks to Kristie Streicher and her Striiike crew, my brows have never been fuller, stronger or more on point.

By just using their “Feathered Brow” technique of minimal tweezing and tinting, they are able to chart your brows on a course that leads to natural, fuller, truly feathered brows.

I went for my first visit in April, and just went back yesterday for my second visit. They cleaned ’em up in 15 minutes flat. By not touching my brows in between, and allowing them to grow along that course that Kristie charted, I can honestly say that my brows have never looked better.

You’re the only ones who could get me zig-zagging back and forth from downtown just to keep my appointment.

Suggestion? Make an appointment AHEAD of time! They typically book out about 2 weeks or so. A feathered brow visit is $120, with follow-up tinting maintenance available for $60. But, again, my brows looked amazing after 6 months, with NO follow-up tinting! This time, I will be trying that out, though, because tinted brows look FIERCE.

*Fun fact? You might see fun folks like Amy Schumer getting their makeup done in there. Yep, she was sitting right behind me, and I didn’t even know until I paid.

Easy bronze, smoky eyes with bronzed, chiseled cheekbones, full & defined brows and frosty baby pink lips.

And did I say how easy it is?

*On the eyes:

1) Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Amber Haze ($27) – Apply the crayon from crease to lash line and blend with brush. Then, use the crayon to color in the bottom lash line.

2) Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Luxury Palette ($52) – Apply the glitter shadow (bottom left) over the Amber Haze pencil.

3) Charlotte Tilbury Rock’N’Kohl Eye Cheat Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil ($27) -Apply in inner corners to brighten the eyes, making them appear wider and brighter! It’s also great to apply the lower waterline when you want to brighten the eye and make your defined lash line look even more defined.

4) L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Volumizing Mascara ($7.99) – stretches those lashes from root to tip to extend and plump. Apply to top and bottom lashes.

*On the brows: 5) L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper ($8.99) – Brush it up and across!

*On the cheeks: 6) Jouer Cosmetics Luminizing Liquid Highlighter in Golden Light ($39) – applied on orbital bone and upper cheekbone

7) NYX Cosmetics Baked Blush in Passion ($7) – Apply under cheekbones and on apples of cheeks for a bronzed glow with a bit of peach.

8) On the Lips: Pixi Beauty Tinted Brilliance Balm in Lucent Glow ($14)

Getting Holiday Party Pretty in a Pinch with Charlotte Tilbury and Blowpro

A few weeks ago, I was expected to attend a Shoe Dazzle event at The London in 2 hours but had been running all over town, makeup-free with post-spin class hair.

Well, this would not do.

But what’s a girl to do with less than 2 hours to appear showered, polished and pretty amongst the LA tastemaker elite?
Well, I headed straight to Nordstrom at The Grove to get primped and prettied by the hair experts at Blowpro and my new fave, Charlotte Tilbury.

This might be the first time you’ve heard about Charlotte Tilbury, but I can assure you it won’t be the last. Especially not on this site. My plan is to show you each one of Charlotte’s featured looks, so you will go get this magic, er – I mean, makeup for yourself. Think Victoria’s Secret model meets screen siren, because Charlotte’s responsible for much of their makeup!

On this particular day, I opted for what has become my evening staple makeup look this season – The Dolce Vita. La Quanna Chong, education & training director at Charlotte Tilbury, applied the Dolce Vita shadow palette ($52) and I was hooked. There’s even the best makeup tutorial I’ve seen in ages, explaining exactly how to do it at home. Best part? You get to dip your fingers into glitter!

Blow at Nordstrom by BlowPro gave me a gorgeous blowout and I walked out feeling fresh, fierce and like a million bucks…
