Tempting Tuesday: Bite Beauty Champagne Cuvee Deluxe Lipstick Collection

Usually when you get a lipstick collection like this, you love one and the rest are “meh”. “Meh” maning I could take ’em or leave ’em.
Well, I am happy to report that this is NOT the case with Bite Beauty Champagne Cuvee Deluxe Lipstick Collection ($72).

This comely collection is as pretty to look at as a colorful bowl of candy…hence the adorable staging.

Bite Beauty Champagne Cuvee Deluxe Lipstick Collection ($72)

Besides being candy-colored comely, this beautiful collection is also derived from French champagne grapes, freshwater Tahitian Black Pearl and Japanese silk powder. And the uber-special antioxidant benefits and resveratrol from the grapes tackle fine lines to store and protect lips. In fact, they’re so special, that they are limited to an exclusive batch of 1200 lipsticks per shade!

Longwearing, intense color coupled with creamy, antioxidant-filled moisture leads to a fabulous, foolproof, featherweight finish.

Each one of these 4 colors made me feel beautiful and, well, like a different person. I felt like I was playing a beautiful character with each lip color I put on for the day. I started with the boldest hue – Cuvee Rose (rose pink).

And I wore it… A LOT. To three events, one party and around the house more than I’d care to admit.

Bite Beauty Cuvee Rose rosied up my world!

Next up? The Cuvee Coral (vibrant coral). A gorgeous punchy coral with a kick – a little spice, if you will. I am loving it so much right now that I wore it all day today and then used it to express my Twitter love on the mirror! Thanks again, y’all! 11,000 followers? I’m overwhelmed and humbled.

And I haven’t played the other ones as much as the top two but after trying them on today for this post, I will be “dawning” the heck out of ’em with a smoky eye!

Lorac Lips with BENefits in BEN

Lorac’s Lips with Benefits is a perfect recipe of lipstick caramel cream folded into a batch of shimmering champagne gloss. This nonstick lip combo is hydrating, creamy, moisturizing, smells just like creme brûlée and made me feel a bit like Brigitte Bardot. Moi je joue!

With Ben, you’re left with a pout that’s a pretty peach married with a shimmering champagne beige. The result? A sexy, sandwashed peachy nude baby of a lip gloss.

Paraben-free and infused with beauty-boosting antioxidants like Acai Berry, Pomegranate Extract and Vitamins C & E, your lips are left nourished, hydrated, kissable and, tasting well, French.

There are lots of fun French things to do with lips like these. Ooh la la!

Foodette Friday: CeCe’s (BF’s Mom) Fruit Pizza

As many of you know, I was home in Dallas last week. Nothing announces summer like the town you grew up in. Am I right?

Mom CeCe making fruit pizza

So imagine my delight when I arrived home to find my brother’s and my (thanks to him) friends from college and my mom’s (CeCe, as we will refer to her here) fruit pizza at our pre-Memorial day weekend bbq. My mom is the maestro behind many of my favorite dessert symphonies but this one is the most kid-friendly, crowd-pleasing hit!

CeCe's (BF's Mom's) Fruit Pizza

Now, just so you know…Mom made THIS (see above) aaaand her Better Than Robert Redford Surprise dessert for our big bbq. And, let me tell you, they are both better than Robert Redford! And I loooooove some Robert Redford (both the man AND the dessert)!

Without further ado (because we know I can offer plenty of that), here is CeCe’s Fruit Pizza recipe.

CeCe’s Fruit Pizza

Preheat oven to 350.

Set out butter and cream cheese to reach room temperature.

Ingredients:

1 roll sugar cookie dough (cut into 1/4 in slices and laid onto pizza or round pan)

1 block Cream Cheese

1 stick (1/2 c) Butter

1/2 to 1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

FRUIT!!! (Sliced strawberries, grapes, kiwi, cherries, but bananas need to be sprinkled with lemon juice first so they won’t turn brown – and any other fruit your family loves)

Directions:

Lay raw cookie dough slices in 12″ pizza (or round) pan or 13×9″ baking pan.

Bake at 350 for 12 to 18 minutes (baked completely but not brown).

Set aside to cool.

While baking, mix together cream cheese, butter and vanilla.

Once cookie crust has cooled, spread cream cheese “pizza filling” onto cookie crust.

Top your pizza with fruit. Either by adding one type of fruit per slice (for the more picky eaters) or creating rings of fruit on the pizza.

Dot with Orange marmalade (or jam of your choice) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

TAH-DAH!!!! FRUIT PIZZA for friends!

Chaos!! Love it!

Hope y’all enjoy it as much as we always did!
