BF Asks: Which would have been your favorite part of the party – the fashion, the festive decor, the furniture, the food or the fun?

I’M LOVING…Milk Jar Cookies and Milk For Dinner

Because sometimes on a holiday weekend…cookies and milk just sound right for dinner.

Milk and cookies for dinner? Nothing is sweeter.

Holiday Delights: My New Christmas Ornament for 2013

Once a bath girl…always a bath girl. Every year I buy myself a new ornament that delights me. The kind that fills you with glee and makes you feel like a child upon first glance.Yep, love at first sight!

This year, it was this vintage-feeling metallic blue, purple & pink with crystal foam bubble bath from Target. I adore it. It makes me smile every time I see it hanging from my silver tree here at The Cupcake Palace. I hope you enjoy as well!

BF Holiday Gorgeous Gift-Giving Guide: Tarte Bow & Go 3-in-1 Holiday Gift Collection (on sale TODAY ONLY on QVC!!)

In case you missed my Beauty Beat this week on The Moll Anderson Show on iHeartRadio, you can check it out here. But what was it that I was raving on about this week with the magical Moll?

Well, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…and Hanukkah…or really just the holidays, in general, folks.  And that means the gift-shopping can commence! And that also means HOLIDAY BEAUTY GIFT COLLECTIONS!!! My favorite since my teen days!

See, during the holidays, beauty brands put out a SLEW of gifts where you get a lot of bang for your buck. It really is the best time to buy beauty products because they make these big kits that have everything you need in them – and more.
For instance,Tarte has an AMMAAAAAZING one out that goes on sale for one day only – TODAY – on QVC.
It’s called their Bow & Go 3-in-1 Holiday Gift Collection ($49.98).
And I can’t emphasize this enough, y’all… you can only get it for one day on QVC.
I got a sneak preview of it delivered to my doorstep last week. And, y’all, it is FAB!!!!

BF Holiday Gorgeous Gift-Giving Guide: Tarte Bow & Go 3-in-1 Holiday Gift Collection ($49.98 exclusively on QVC - today ONLY!!!)

Personally, my favorite trick with all of the limited edition holiday beauty collections is to split em up for my friends so everyone gets a fun beauty gift. They’re also great for stuffing in those stockings!
This Tarte one is perfect for that because it  contains:
*4 of the Lipsurgence lip cremes in shades Precious, Promise, Thoughtful and Wonder.
* 2 tubes of Lights, Camera Lashes and
* 2 SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liners in Matte Brown and Fig
See, there are 2! So you can keep one and give one to a friend! Or if you’re just playing Santa, you can give all of them as gifts.
Then, there’s an awesome shadow palette with 16 shadows that, to be honest, I plan on keeping for myself because I consider Tarte shadows to be an essential in my beauty arsenal.
So if you wanna gift a friend, family member, a slew of friends – or even just yourself – head on over to QVC & QVC.com TODAY ONLY, Monday, November 18th and grab a Bow & GO 3-in-1 giftset!! $49.98
And thanks again, Moll Anderson, for having me on the show this past Saturday!

Dawn

Thirsty Thursday: La Vieille Ferme Rosé 2012 – the official taste of Summer 2013

Before I bid summertime adieu, I must share with you my summer love… La Vielle Ferme Rosé ($9.99).

Thirsty Thursday: My taste of summer 2013 - La Vieille Ferme Rosé 2012

I have bought a bevy of bottles of this ravishing rosé this summer and have enjoyed every single, solitary one. Oh, don’t you judge – almost every bottle was shared with a friend, neighbor or passerby on the street. Kidding…well, about the passerby thing.

My brother-neighbor, Matty, & me enjoying a glass (or two) of La Vieille Ferme Rosé 2012 last Saturday while frosting cupcakes

However, I’m not kidding when I tell you that this vino will symbolize Summer 2013 for me forever. With its pretty, whimsical watermelon hue, its floral scent with hints of baked brown sugar and aniseed and its taste of southern flowers, bing cherries and fruit pastille candies, this dry – yet juicy – rosé just represents the taste of summer 2013 for me. And, for me, summer 2013 was filled with fun, new beginnings, farm-to-table-fresh food, music, travel, romance and lessons learned.
One glass of La Vieille Ferme Rosé is never enough, two is not too much and the conversations and memories enjoyed over 3 glasses of this wine will live on forever.

Lucky for me, I know there will be another vintage next year. So here’s – and cheers – to Summer 2014 with La Vieille Ferme Rosé 2012!!!

xoxo,
BF

BF Asks: Do you have a favorite rosé? Spill it.
